Dancing on Glass

An interesting title plus the fact that it had been long since I went for a play, made me go for this, even thought I had no clue as to who they were and what the play was about. The 100 rupee ticket came with a warning “Contains explicit language. Not suitable for people below the age of 18”. But little did I realise that the two actors on stage were more sincere in swearing than actually delivering the normal dialogues. Was that demanded by the script ? I knew not ! And by the time I got out, I managed to learn every other word that can be used for swearing, in English, Hindi, Kannada and what not ?! Perhaps they should have been more “explicit” in stating what “explicit” meant in the warning !! And that left me wondering if a censor board was more appropriate for a play than a movie, ‘coz a movie happens on screen but this happens right in front of you, live that too !!!

Moral of the story : Never go for a play, when you dont know absolutely anything about it !!
