About Idle Thoughts

It all started back in 2004, when rediffblogs were the fashion of the era and I had just gotten out of my college. I had called it the “Scourge of God” after Attila the Hun, a nomadic barbarian – one of those characters made famous by Age of Empires. The blog started off as random ramblings during my early trysts with the web world. A journal through my thoughts, was how I wanted it to be. Hence came the switch in name to idle thoughts, as I went past the phase of Age of Empires and Scourges of Gods.. And before I knew, I moved to wordpress.

I set it up on a small server space that I was given for free at the place I worked, back then. The writings never stopped. Those men from the mountains say a picture is worth a thousand words. Lazy as I was at times, when a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning left me in no mood to write, I started to add photographs linking them from my flickr (during its pre-yahoo era). Since then I moved three times and finally back here at wordpress . I’ve lost what I wrote back when I started. But I’m glad that I was able to bring along everything that I wrote since then.

Wise men also say, lives change, perspectives change and experiences change too. And so has it been for me – 7 years, with umpteen experiences, a lot of ups, with a few downs too in between. But it is through these blog entries that I travel down the memory lane, reading through the myriad of posts, making me realize that I’ve come a long way.

I dont know what lies ahead of me, but I do know that what I’ve seen till date is just a minuscule fraction of what waits ahead …. And I plan to keep writing for as long as I have it in me.
