For long, several people have been telling me “you are born to this world alone.. you die alone too… hence youre always alone!!”. Until this long I have never paid heed to this, to any probable extent, or should I say, I chose to be ignorant about it ? I have always had a huge bunch of people around me, family, friends and foes, whom I thought I could lean back on for everything I did and every problems that I faced in life, however short I have seen of life so far. It could have been just a feeling or a sense of security, but that was something that kept me going forward.
A couple of weeks back, this song by Cars, called The Drive, came into my head. I have always liked this song, its lyrics, and everything about it, but somehow it never hit me the way it did, the other day. Esp. these few lines from it…
Who’s gonna pick you up when you fall

Who’s gonna pay attention to your dreams
Who’s gonna come around when you break……..
In your interface with people around you, there is just one aspect of your mind that is being portrayed, or conveyed to that person. There is noone who will understand it, in its entirety as much as you do… There is a limit to which people can see you, however hard you try to be yourself in front of everyone you meet. And you realise this only when you know, they have tried to “intrude” into that part of you, which they have never understood….
Some people might term it being characteristic of a “loser”. Well then I guess, there is a loser in everyone of us.
