Cricket Fever !!

Its been a really long time since I actually followed a game of cricket. In fact, the other day, I was a little shocked to see a huge banner of World Cup Cricket, reigning the streets of New Jersey, more because I didn’t realise that the World Cup had actually started. Well, hailing from a country where people forget their day-to-day problems to watch a match of cricket, I shouldn’t be telling this !! 🙂 Anyway, with the weather making it not possible for me to step out of my house (looks like I said a bit too early about the irony fading away 🙂 he he), I decided to take a peek at the results of the World Cup so far. And what do I see ? Srilanka beat “Bermuda” and Zimbabwe drew with “Ireland”. When did these countries put together a team !?! That just left me thinking how long it has been since I watched a match or even read about cricket !!

Had a rather lazy day till now, taking full advantage of the “spring” break that Im on right now. Even the sunlight, trying to squeeze its way through my window shades did not have an effect on me, as I slept late into the afternoon, without even bothering to dream !! 🙂 Well the hopes for a sunny day didn’t last long either and soon it started to snow. How much more unpredictable can the weather in Syracuse be !! So here I am with Angela’s Ashes (the book ;-)) and listening to the song of the church bells from Henrik’s Chapel.
